Eric Ulyssee Frampton is a safety for the Minnesota Vikings in the National Football League. Known as a big hitter with a motor that never stops, Frampton received the Washington State Ironman Award in 2004. Frampton was a two-year starter and was awarded All-Pac 10 honors as a senior. As a senior he was the Cougar's leading tackler and played both free and strong safety. Frampton recorded 11 tackles against Southern California and 16 against Oregon. He was timed at 4.61 seconds in the 40 yard dash at the 2007 NFL Scouting Combine, but ran a 4.51 40 at the Pro Day combine. He was drafted by... the Oakland Raiders in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. Frampton was cut by the Raiders on September 1, 2007. The next day the Detroit Lions claimed Frampton off waivers. On October 22, 2007 the Minnesota Vikings claimed him off waivers. Frampton has never started a game during his NFL career as he has predominantly played only on special teams.
