The Cleveland Browns are an American professional football franchise based in Cleveland, Ohio. They are currently members of the North Division of the American Football Conference of the National Football League . Their home stadium is Cleveland Browns Stadium. The Browns were founded by... businessman Arthur B. "Mickey" McBride in 1945 as a member of the All-America Football Conference. They were coached by namesake Paul Brown. The Browns dominated the AAFC, compiling a combined 45-4 win-loss record and winning the AAFC championship in all four years of its existence. They joined the NFL in 1950 when the AAFC decided to merge. In their inaugural NFL season, the Browns won the NFL championship. They also won championships in 1954, 1955 and 1964. When the National Football League and the rival American Football League formally merged before the 1970 season, the Browns moved to the newly created American Football Conference, which otherwise comprised former AFL teams, in order to give each conference an equal number of teams.

The Leland Stanford Junior University, commonly referred to as Stanford University or Stanford, is an American private research university located in Stanford, California on an 8,180-acre campus near Palo Alto, California, United States. It is situated in the northwestern Silicon Valley,... approximately 20 miles northwest of San Jose and 37 miles southeast of San Francisco. Leland Stanford, a Californian railroad tycoon and politician, founded the university in 1891 in honor of his son, Leland Stanford, Jr., who died of typhoid two months before his 16th birthday. The university was established as a coeducational and nondenominational institution, but struggled financially after the senior Stanford's 1893 death and after much of the campus was damaged by the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. Following World War II, Provost Frederick Terman supported faculty and graduates' entrepreneurialism to build self-sufficient local industry in what would become known as Silicon Valley.

Brea is a city in Orange County, California. The population, as of the 2010 Census was 39,282. The city began as a center of crude oil production, was later propelled by citrus production, and is now an important retail center because of the large Brea Mall and the recently redeveloped Brea... Downtown. Brea is also known for its extensive public art program which began in 1975 and continues today with over 140 artworks in the collection placed and located throughout the city. Brea's public art program has been used as a model and inspiration for many Public Art programs nationwide. Sunset magazine named Brea one of the five best suburbs to live in the Western United States in early 2006. The area was visited in 1769 by Gaspar de Portolà. A historical marker dedicated to his visit stands in Brea Canyon just north of town. He noted the local Native Americans as "dirty" without realizing that they used crude oil bubbling up in the canyon as topical medicine. The village of Olinda was founded in present-day Carbon Canyon at the beginning of the 19th century and many entrepreneurs came to the area searching for "black gold" .
