St. John's Episcopal Church in Fayetteville, North Carolina is a congregation of the Episcopal Diocese of East Carolina, a division of the Episcopal... Church in the United States of America. Founded in 1817, it is located on Green Street in historic downtown Fayetteville. The congregation was formally organized April 7, 1817, and it became the first Episcopal church in the city. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Public tours are available by appointment. When the city was founded, Fayetteville's Episcopalian families had no congregation of their own. Because the town's population was mainly of Scottish descent, Episcopalians typically worshiped together with the Presbyterians. In 1816, John Winslow went to Wilmington to consult the Rev. Dr. Bethell Judd, and the following year St. John's Episcopal Church was founded in Fayetteville. The Rev. Dr. Judd became the church's first rector. The foundations of the original church building were laid in 1817 by the local chapter of the Masonic Order. The church had a single spire which housed the town clock, and the total cost was about $16,000.

He also challenged Taka Michinoku for the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship in a losing effort in his Fallen Angel gimmick on WWF Shotgun Saturday Night. Joey Arias is a New York City based performance artist, cabaret singer, and drag artist. Born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, he was six when he... moved with his family to Los Angeles. After singing with the rock band "Purlie" on Capitol Records and a stint with famed improvisational group the Groundlings. In 1976 he and his best friend Kim Hastreiter - who would go on to co-found - Paper - drove across country in a pickup truck and moved to New York City. Arias eventually got a job at the Fiorucci designer clothing store. He and other store staff famously performed in the shop windows. While working at the store he became friends with alternative icon Klaus Nomi, singing backup and designing sets and costumes. On December 4, 1979, Nomi and Arias appeared on Saturday Night Live accompanied David Bowie for a live performance of TVC 15. While in New York he also performed with Ann Magnuson in a band called Strange Party which recorded and performed in various night clubs. Upon the death of his dear friend and artistic collaborator, Joey became executor to the Klaus Nomi estate.

As a high school student, he won the state championship in original oratory and competed in the National Speech and Debate Tournament. He later attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University, earning degrees in broadcast journalism, dramatic art and nonprofit management. In 2004, Anthony won the title of Mr. University USA, beating out male college students nationwide. He went on to compete in Seoul, South Korea at the Mister & Miss University International Pageant and finished as a Top 5 finalist and talent winner. The People to People Student Ambassador Program featured Anthony on its website as a distinguished alumnus.

In 1981, after three years of training, she was certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. In 1981, following her parents, Baker joined NASA as a medical officer at the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center. That same year, she graduated from the Air Force Aerospace Medicine Course at Brooks Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Prior to her selection as an astronaut candidate she served as a physician in the Flight Medicine Clinic at the Johnson Space Center. Selected by NASA in May 1984, Baker became an astronaut in June 1985. Since then, she has had a variety of jobs at NASA in support of the Space Shuttle program and Space Station development.

He went through several names, such as Hangman Harris, Ricky Harris and Man Mountain Harris, before settling on the name of Black Bart which was given to him by Dusty Rhodes in 1984. He formed a tag team called "The Long Riders" with Ron Bass in Florida Championship Wrestling in 1984 and they went to the NWA's Jim Crockett Promotions later that year. After splitting with Bass in 1985, he feuded with Ron Garvin, Terry Taylor and Sam Houston. In late 1986, Bart went to World Class Championship Wrestling where he feuded with Chris Adams and Kevin Von Erich over the World Class title. When Adams, who held the World Class title, left the promotion in September 1986, Bart was awarded the championshipbut not before the promotion explained that Bart won the belt from Adams in a fictitious match held in Los Angeles. Bart lost the championship to Von Erich a month later in Dallas, then, like other major World Class stars, left WCCW to join the UWF.

William Troy McLawhorn is an American musician who is a guitarist of the bands Evanescence and Dark New Day. He was formerly of the bands Seether,... doubleDrive and Still Rain. After the demise of his first band, Still Rain, McLawhorn helped form Dark New Day in 1995, although they were inactive for several years. Instead, McLawhorn was the guitarist in doubleDrive from 1996 until December 2003, before re-joining Dark New Day the following year. In May 2007, McLawhorn was announced as the replacement for Evanescence's former guitarist John LeCompt, and played with the band through its The Open Door album tour, which ended in December 2007. He remained active with Dark New Day while playing with Evanescence. However, McLawhorn eventually left Dark New Day in mid-2008 after joining Seether as a touring guitarist. After the success of the subsequent tour, McLawhorn became the official lead guitarist of Seether. From then until early March 2011, McLawhorn did various tours with Seether.

Jimmy Spruill also known as Wild Jimmy Spruill, was an American New York based session guitarist. Spruill was born into a sharecropping family in... Fayetteville, North Carolina, United States. As a budding guitarist he was weaned on equal proportions of country music and blues. By the time he made it to New York in 1955, he had progressed from a "diddly bow" made from a cigar box and an elastic band to a Fender Telecaster and Standel amplifier. Later in his career, he took to playing a Gibson Les Paul which he "modified" by sawing off most of the body. In New York, he worked steadily as a session sideman, appearing on records by King Curtis, Little Anthony and the Imperials, the Shirelles, Tarheel Slim and Elmore James, in addition to putting out singles under his own name. He most frequently worked for the record producers Danny and Bobby Robinson, who ran record labels called Fire, Fury, Everlast, Enjoy and VIM out of Bobby's Happy House of Hits record store in Harlem.

Jimmy Herring is an American guitarist who is currently the lead guitarist in the band Widespread Panic. Herring is a founding member of Aquarium... Rescue Unit and Jazz Is Dead. He has also played with The Allman Brothers Band, Project Z, Derek Trucks Band, and has enjoyed a long and successful tenure with Phil Lesh and Friends as well as The Dead. Jimmy Herring was born on January 22, 1962, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, the son of a high school English teacher, and a North Carolina Superior Court judge. The youngest of three brothers, Herring attended Terry Sanford Senior High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Although he played saxophone in the high school band, he quickly became known for his prodigious talent on guitar, which he had begun playing at age 13. Herring had a Telecaster guitar with a Stratocaster neck, in the same style as one of his biggest influences at the time, Steve Morse of the Dixie Dregs. He played with various groups through high school and junior high. One of his first performances was in Horace Sisk Junior High School. He played in the talent show in the 8th grade. The band played "Walking The Dog", and "Helter Skelter" by The Beatles.
