Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions

Ramza Beoulve age 16, is the main character of Final Fantasy Tactics. Ramza is a member of the Beoulve family and youngest son of the late Balbanes... Beoulve. He has one sister, Alma Beoulve, whom he loves dearly and is very close to. He also has two half-brothers: General Zalbag of the Hokuten, and Duke Dycedarg who serves directly under Prince Larg. Ramza's desire to be a great hero and uphold the honorable name of his family, lead to his enrollment at the Royal Academy located in Gariland Magic City. He becomes caught up in a struggle with the Death Corps, a group of former knights who were abandoned at the conclusion of the Fifty-Year War. The class warfare that motivates the Death Corps' actions, as well as the response of the Hokuten Knights, leads both Ramza and Delita to doubt the morality of their country's actions. Following a confrontation between the Death Corps and the Hokuten Knights at Ft. Zeakden in which Delita and his sister are killed, Ramza adopts his mother's last name "Ruglia"[1] and joins a group of mercenaries led by the former knight Gaff Gafgarion.

Akihiko Yoshida is a Japanese video game designer working for Square Enix. Yoshida was born in 1967 and joined Square Co. in 1995, before the company merged with Enix. He is well known for his work on the Final Fantasy series. He is a frequent collaborator of game designer Yasumi Matsuno.

The merger occurred on April 1, 2003, with Square stockholders receiving 0.85 shares of stock in the new company compared to Enix stockholders receiving a one-to-one trade. Enix was the surviving company of the merger. At the time, 80% of Square Enix staff were made up of former Square Co. employees. As part of the merger, many of the top officials within Square Co. assumed the leadership roles in the new corporate hierarchy, including president Yoichi Wada, who was appointed president of the corporation. The original founder of Enix, Yasuhiro Fukushima, is currently the honorary chairman and largest shareholder of the corporation.
