Cashmere Mafia is an American television dramedy which ran on ABC from January 6, 2008 to February 20, 2008. The series was created by Kevin Wade, who also served as executive producer alongside Darren Star, Gail Katz, Jeff Rake and Michael Pressman, with Susie Fitzgerald co-executive producing. Peyton Reed directed the pilot. ABC decided not to renew the series for a second season. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment released Cashmere Mafia on... DVD. Cashmere Mafia follows the lives of four ambitious women, longtime best friends since their days at business school, as they try to balance their glamorous and demanding careers with their complex personal lives by creating their own "boys' club" to protect one another and discuss their personal ups and downs as they try to have it all in New York City. Produced by Sony Pictures Television, Darren Star Productions and Gail Katz Productions, the series was officially greenlit and given a thirteen-episode order on May 11, 2007. The series was initially scheduled to air as a mid-season replacement, with plans for a debut on November 27, 2007 on ABC as an off-season replacement for the Dancing with the Stars results show.

Gerald Lepkowski is a television and stage actor, who has had guest roles in both Australia, Scotland and England, before landing the lead role in Dirt Game in Australia in 2009. Born in the Sighthill area of Glasgow, Scotland, Lepkowski is the second child of Edward Lepkowski, a carpet fitter of... Polish descent; and Catherine Lepkowski . He has a brother, Edward Jr, and a sister, Carol. While travelling in Australia in his early twenties, Lepkowski was bitten by the acting bug and eventually trained at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. where he met fellow British-born thespian, Frances O'Connor, with whom he now has one child, Luka, born in 2005. After working extensively in Australia for over a decade, he and O'Connor relocated to London where more work followed. The couple are currently residing in Los Angeles. Lepkowski worked extensively in Australia on the stage, and he played Tysefew in 'The Dutch Courtesan', Claudio in Much Ado About Nothing, Roger & Arthur in The Balcony, Vershinin in The Three Sisters, Krogstaad in A Doll's House and Orsino in Twelfth Night, all with the Melbourne Theatre Company.
