- Waterproof - Multiple modes (driving, walking, etc.) - Custom waypoints AND ROUTES
Cons:
- No safety tether - No spoken street names

Review: If you can only afford one GPS receiver (like me!) for your driving, hiking and bicycling adventures, the Nuvi 500 should be on your short list.
