Lloyd Craig Blankfein is an American business executive. He is currently the CEO and Chairman of Goldman Sachs. He has been in this position since... the May 31, 2006 nomination of former CEO Henry Paulson as Secretary of the Treasury under George W. Bush. Blankfein was born in the Bronx borough of New York City to a Jewish family and reared in Brooklyn's Linden Houses, part of the New York City Housing Authority. His father was a clerk with the U.S. Postal Service branch in the Manhattan borough of New York City and his mother was a receptionist. As a boy, he worked as a concession vendor at Yankee Stadium. He received primary and secondary education in the public schools of the New York City Department of Education, and was the valedictorian at Thomas Jefferson High School in 1971. He attended Harvard College, where he lived in Winthrop House, and earned his A.B. in 1975. In 1978, Blankfein received a J.D. degree from Harvard Law School. Blankfein worked as a corporate tax lawyer for the law firm Donovan, Leisure, Newton & Irvine. In 1981, he joined Goldman's commodities trading arm, J. Aron & Co., as a precious metals salesman in its London office.

Gary D. Cohn is President and COO of investment banking and securities firm Goldman Sachs. He and his wife, Lisa, grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio... and currently reside in New York City. When he graduated from American University, his first job was for U.S. Steel, where he worked from July 1 of his graduation year to Thanksgiving. Cohn is said to be having an arrogant, aggressive, abrasive and risk-prone work style. According to this article in Bloomberg, According to former Bear Stearns Asset Management CEO Richard Marin, Cohn's arrogance is at the root of the problem. Mr. Cohn is a founding board member with his wife Lisa Pevaroff Cohn of the New York University Child Study Center. Together, they funded the Pevaroff Cohn Professorship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the New York University School of Medicine in 1999. He has also financed the Gary D. Cohn Endowed Research Professorship in Finance at American University, his alma mater, where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Finance. The Hillel building at Kent State University was named the Cohn Jewish Student Center in recognition of a gift from Gary and Lisa Cohn.

Rajat Kumar Gupta was the managing director of management consultancy McKinsey & Company from 1994 to 2003 and a business leader in India and... the United States. Rajat Gupta is additionally the co-founder of four different organizations: the Indian School of Business with Anil Kumar, the American India Foundation with Victor Menezes and Lata Krishnan, New Silk Route with Parag Saxena and Menezes again, and Scandent with Ramesh Vangal.
