George Segal is an American film, stage and television actor. George Segal, Jr. was born to a Jewish family in 1934 Great Neck, Long Island, New... York, the son of Fannie Blanche and George Segal, Sr. He was educated at George School, a private Quaker preparatory boarding school near Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. He also attended Haverford College. He graduated in 1955 from Columbia University. Segal has played both drama and comedy, although he is more often seen in the latter. Originally a stage actor and musician, Segal appeared in several minor films in the early 1960s in addition to the well-known 1962 movie The Longest Day. He was signed to a Columbia Pictures contract in 1961, making his film debut in The Young Doctors and appearing in The Naked City produced for television by Columbia's Screen Gems. He started attracting roles in 1965 as a distraught newlywed in Ship of Fools, as a P.O.W. in King Rat in a role originally meant for Frank Sinatra, and as an Algerian paratrooper captured at Dien Bien Phu, who leaves the French army to become a leader of the FLN in Lost Command.

Nicole Margaret "Nikki" Blonsky is an American actress, singer and dancer. She is best known for her role as Tracy Turnblad in the 2007 film... Hairspray and as Maggie Baker in the 2008 television movie Queen Sized. She is also known for her starring role in the ABC Family original series Huge. Blonsky was raised in Great Neck, New York, in Nassau County on Long Island, the daughter of Karen Smeja, a school aide, and Carl Blonsky, a municipal worker for the village water pollution control district. She grew up singing, since she was three years old, and started taking vocal training lessons at the age of eight. Blonsky was raised in her mother's Catholic religion . During her time, she joined the theater program at the William A. Shine Great Neck South High School. There she was cast in roles in productions of Les Misérables, Sweeney Todd, Kiss Me, Kate and, in the title role, the opera Carmen. She went to Great Neck Public Library's Levels and was in shows such as Alice In Wonderland. Blonsky has said that she wanted to play the role of Tracy Turnblad from the first time she saw Hairspray for her 15th birthday on Broadway.

Carol Bruce was an American band singer, Broadway star, and film and television actress. Bruce was born Shirley Levy in Great Neck, New York, the... daughter of Beatrice and Harry Levy. She began her career as a singer in the late 1930s with Larry Clinton and his band. A graduate of Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn, New York, she made her Broadway debut in Louisiana Purchase," with songs by Irving Berlin who discovered her at a nightclub in Newark, New Jersey. She was the first actress to play the role of Julie in a Broadway production of Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein II's Show Boat since the 1932 Broadway revival. Bruce played the role onstage in 1946 and garnered favorable comparisons to Helen Morgan, who had originated the role onstage in 1927 and repeated it in both the 1932 revival and the 1936 film, but had died prematurely in 1941. After a long career as a singer and in films, Bruce is probably best-remembered for her recurring role as the domineering and meddlesome "Mama Carlson" on CBS' WKRP in Cincinnati. Sylvia Sidney played Mr. Carlson's mother in the Pilot episode.

Mimi Michaels is an American actress. Michaels was born in Great Neck, Nassau County, New York. She left to attend the famed LaGuardia High School... of Performing Arts in New York City, which she calls "The best decision of my life!" Mark "Moogy" Klingman was an American musician and songwriter. He was a founding member of Todd Rundgren's band Utopia, and later became a solo... recording artist, bandleader and songwriter. He released two solo recordings, and his songs have been covered by artists as wide ranging as Johnny Winter, Carly Simon, James Cotton, Thelma Houston, Eric Clapton, Barry Manilow and Guns N' Roses. He played on stage with Jimi Hendrix, Chuck Berry, Luther Vandross, Lou Reed, Jeff Beck and Allan Woody & Warren Haynes of the Allman Brothers and Gov't Mule. Other than Rundgren, his longest musical association may have been with Bette Midler, whom he served as band leader and who adopted for her signature song " Friends", composed by Klingman and William "Buzzy" Linhart. "Moogy" Klingman's nickname was not from the brand of synthesizers, but from his baby sister's pronunciation of "Marky" as "Moo-Gee." He - with his nickname - became widely known later, during the time Moog synthesizers coincidentally came to dominate the market for his main instrument, electronic keyboards. Klingman grew up in the Long Island suburb of Great Neck, New York.
