Greg David Miller is a Minor League Baseball pitcher, who is currently a free agent. He was on the fast track to the majors in '03, but never fully recovered from a serious shoulder injury in the spring of '04. Miller attended Esperanza High School, where he went 9-4 with a 1.50 ERA, 137 strikeouts and just 20 walks in 84 innings as a senior. He was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 1st round of the 2002 draft. He started his first professional campaign in 2002 with the rookie league Great Falls Dodgers, helping them capture the Pioneer League Championship. Named by Baseball America... as the league's eight-best prospect. In 2003, he was honored as the Dodger organizations Minor League Pitcher of the Year after going 12-5 with a 2.21 ERA and 151 strikeouts in 142.1 innings for Single-A Vero Beach and Double-A Jacksonville. He was also named to the Florida State League All-Star team and the Baseball America 1st team Minor League All-Stars. Entered the 2004 season rated by Baseball America as the #2 prospect and as having the best curveball and slider in the Dodger system.
