Harris Yulin Filmography

WIOU is an American television drama series, which aired on CBS in 1990 and 1991. The show is set in the news department of a fictional television station whose actual callsign is WNDY, but which is nicknamed WIOU by its staff because of the station's perennial financial struggles. The show stars John Shea as news director Hank Zaret. The cast also includes Mariette Hartley as executive producer Liz McVay, Harris Yulin and Helen Shaver as news... anchors Neal Frazier and Kelby Robinson, Phil Morris as aggressive reporter Eddie Bock, Jayne Brook as reporter Ann Hudson, Kate McNeil as reporter Taylor Young, Dick Van Patten as aging weatherman Floyd Graham, and Wallace Langham as news intern Willis Teitelbaum. According to television researchers Tim Brooks and Earle Marsh, this program received such low ratings that although 18 episodes were actually produced, five were never aired upon the program's cancellation.

Gwen Welles was an American actress. Gwen Welles was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, as Gwen Goldberg. She is the daughter of actress Rebecca Weis Welles and Barton Goldberg; her sisters were Elizabeth Goldberg Welles and Lori Yarum. Gwen graduated from University High School in Los Angeles,... California and attended Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York. Welles was married to actor Harris Yulin in 1975. Gwen Welles may be best-remembered for her portrayal of talentless singer "Sueleen Gay", in Robert Altman's 1975 film Nashville, for which she was nominated for a BAFTA Award, for Best Supporting Actress. Welles also appeared in several films directed by Henry Jaglom, including New Year's Day and Eating . She died in 1993 from anal cancer, aged 42. Her younger sister, Elizabeth , died from colon cancer 10 years later. Donna Deitch directed a documentary about Welles' illness in 1992, which appeared at the 1998 Berlin Film Festival.
