Game Overview

In Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life, you get the classic play of the Harvest Moon series with a slight twist: Your Character is a girl now. You'll still have to start a little farm and turn it into a success, while pursuing romance. Seek out the right boy in different periods of your life, while getting the chores done and making money from your hard work.

The Good

Female character provides a different perspective on familiar places and characters, Detailed world with plenty of activities to partake in, Countless hours of gameplay keep you coming back for a long time.

The Bad

Still pretty much the same game as A Wonderful Life, Farming chores can get tedious after awhile .

The Bottom Line

Updated version of the original Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life (Bokujou Monogatari: Wonderful Life), primarily targeted at female players. Not only is the main character in the game a girl, all the romance scenarios have been completely changed to work better from the viewpoint of the female player. There are five male non-player characters to pursue -- which of course comes in addition to all the standard farm work, tending to crops, expanding the house, and taking care of farm animals. Like its predecessor, the game can be linked up with the Game Boy Advance installment in the series.

Aside from the fact that you play as a female character, life on the farm hasn't changed much, but Another Wonderful Life does bring to light a whole new side of the familiar characters from Forget-Me-Not Valley that fans of the series are sure to enjoy.

While nothing major has been modified, the game as a whole was good enough not to really need much fixing, except for a few minor tweaks with the interface. The game was fun two years ago, and is thoroughly enjoyable today.

Feels very much like Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life. And that's because both titles share almost everything. They look the same, sound the same and play the same.
