High Point

A.J. Simeon Stadium is a 10,000-seat multi-use stadium in High Point, North Carolina. It is the largest stadium in High Point and is the home of the... High Point Central High School, T. Wingate Andrews High School football and soccer events. The stadium was also the home of the Carolina Dynamo professional soccer team of the USL Premier Development League from 1996 to 1999. Currently, the stadium is home to the Carolina Phoenix of the Independent Women's Football League.

Adam Burbank Lazzara , is the lead singer of the American rock band, Taking Back Sunday. Along with singing lead vocals, Adam Lazzara occasionally... plays guitar and harmonica. Adam Lazzara grew up in High Point, North Carolina, before moving to Long Island, New York. He has a younger brother, Nathan Lazzara, who is also a musician. His first band was called Nine Lives Left, and then, upon their breakup, he formed Dumfounded, an influential local punk band. After the breakup of Dumfounded he was in a band called TRANSIT. In 1999, Adam joined Taking Back Sunday, originally on bass and then later replacing original lead singer Antonio Longo who sang on their first EP. In the spring of 2006, Adam met Chauntelle Dupree, guitarist of the band Eisley, while on tour. They started dating in fall 2006 and became engaged on February 14, 2007. They were to be married in March 2008, but it was announced by Chauntelle's father in January 2008 that the wedding had been called off and that Chauntelle and Adam had split up.

Adam Kyler Petty was a professional racing driver. He was the first fourth-generation driver in NASCAR history. Petty was raised in High Point,... North Carolina into stock car racing "royalty". The son of Kyle Petty, he was widely expected to become the next great Petty, following in the footsteps of his father, grandfather Richard, and great-grandfather Lee. He was the first known fourth-generation athlete in all of modern American motor sports to participate in the chosen profession of his generations. Petty began his career in 1998, shortly after he turned 18. Like his father Kyle, he won his first ARCA RE/MAX Series race, in the #45 Sprint/Spree Pontiac at Lowe's Motor Speedway in that same year. Petty drove a #45 Sprint Chevrolet in the Busch Series full-time in 1999 after a successful season in the Midwestern short track American Speed Association season in the #45 Spree Pontiac. He also finished sixth in his first Busch Series race at Daytona and had a best finish of fourth place that year. However, he failed to qualify for three races, and finished 20th overall in points.
