Hare Field is a multi-sport facility located in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States. The facility opened in 1965 and is owned by the Hillsboro School... District. Hare Field includes a baseball stadium, a football stadium, practice fields, and track and field equipment. The venue hosts high school sports, open track meets, youth sports, and occasionally college sports. The football stadium seats over 5,000 fans, was the first high school field in Oregon with an all-weather field, and was named one of the best venues to watch high school football in the state. Hare Field opened in 1965 when the Hillsboro High School baseball team started using the baseball stadium. The field was named for civic leader and former state legislator William G. Hare. The first football game was held on September 9, 1966, when Hilhi played Gresham High School. Hilhi won that game 7-0 and would become the season’s state champions. School football teams had previously used Goodman Field from 1948 to 1965. With the addition of Glencoe High School in 1980, that school began using the facilities at Hare Field.

Imbrie Farm is an Italian Villa style home in Hillsboro, Oregon. It was built by Robert Imbrie and was a working farm for over a century. It was... added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. Located just south of U.S. Route 26 on Cornelius Pass Road, the estate is now home to a McMenamins brewpub, the Cornelius Pass Roadhouse. Original structures on the farm include the home, a unique eight-sided barn, and a shed. The old farmstead is a brewpub operated by Portland, Oregon based McMenamins. The property contains English chestnut and black walnut trees that have been there for more than 130 years. The Imbrie family arrived in the mid-1840s as part of Oregon’s first flood of white settlers. The Imbries came to Oregon from the Midwest, but the family’s patriarch, James Imbrie, Jr., was born and raised in the Kingdom of Fife on the southeast coast of Scotland. James’ sons, James III and Robert, each developed farms in Washington County. James’ area was in North Plains, while brother Robert took over and expanded a neighboring farm , where the current buildings are located. Robert immigrated to Oregon via ship around Cape Horn.

The Harold Wass Ray House in Hillsboro, Oregon was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994. Harold Wass Ray purchased over 400... acres of land from Rachel Hawthorn in 1933 and over the years added more parcels of land to his holdings. The house was designed in 1935 by Portland, Oregon architect Charles Ertz. Harold Ray made money from food processing and hops. He raised thoroughbred horses, had a race track on his land and was instrumental in the creation of Portland Meadows race track. He sold his farm to the Hawthorn Farm Company and other investors in 1960. Intel purchased the property in 1979 and created the Hawthorn Farm Campus. The property was purchased in 2007 by Beardsley Building Development in an effort to restore the house to its original condition.

West Union Baptist Church is a Baptist congregation and historic church structure in West Union, Oregon, United States. The Baptist congregation was... founded in 1844 and met in the home of pioneer David Thomas Lenox until 1853, when he donated 2 acres of his land for a church and cemetery. The one-story, Classical Revival style building was built of hand-sawn lumber on what is now West Union Road for a little over $1,500. The 30- by 40-foot structure has cedar rafters, fir joists and sills of hand-hewn fir logs. On December 25, 1853, the building was dedicated by the Reverend Ezra Fisher. It is the oldest Baptist society and the oldest Protestant church building still standing west of the Rocky Mountains. Pioneers Caleb Wilkens and George W. Ebbert are buried at the cemetery, which is the oldest cemetery in the state. The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974 and is currently maintained by the American Baptist Churches of Oregon. Previously the otherwise unused building was the site of an annual memorial meeting, but the church now holds regular Sunday services.
