Wistariahurst is a historic site located at 238 Cabot Street in Holyoke, Massachusetts. It was built in 1868 and added to the National Register of... Historic Places in 1973. Wistariahurst Museum, originally the home of prominent silk manufacturer William Skinner and his family, has stood as an example of elegance and fine architecture since 1874. The buildings and grounds were owned continually by the Skinner family until 1959, when Katharine Skinner Kilborne, the youngest child of William and Sarah Skinner, and her heirs gave Wistariahurst to the City of Holyoke for cultural and educational purposes. Today, Wistariahurst Museum reflects the lives and tastes of both generations of the Skinner family. The museum features original leather wall coverings, columns, elaborate woodwork and an interesting tale of how two generations perceived and used the house very differently. The museum's permanent collection includes decorative arts; paintings and prints, textiles, and a rich manuscript collection of family and local papers. The museum offers a wide variety of programs and events, including workshops, concerts, lectures, and demonstrations.

William Wegman is an artist best known for creating series of compositions involving dogs, primarily his own Weimaraners in various costumes and... poses. Wegman reportedly originally intended to pursue a career as a painter. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting from Massachusetts College of Art in 1965 and a Master of Fine Arts degree in painting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1967. While teaching at California State University, Long Beach, he acquired the first and most famous of the dogs he photographed, a Weimaraner he named Man Ray . Man Ray later became so popular that the Village Voice named him "Man of the Year" in 1982. He named a subsequent dog Fay Ray . On January 29, 1992, Wegman appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson and showed a video clip of "Dog Duet," his 1975 short of Man Ray & another dog slowly and mysteriously peering around. Wegman explained that he had created the video by moving a tennis ball around, off-camera, thus capturing the dogs' attention .

Mark Edward Wohlers is a former right-handed relief pitcher in Major League Baseball best known for his years with the Atlanta Braves from 1991 to... 1999. He is the third fastest recorded pitcher in baseball history, having thrown a pitch recorded at 103 miles per hour during a spring training session in 1995; the record was broken by Detroit Tigers pitcher Joel Zumaya with a 104 mph pitch. Wohlers was selected in the eighth round of the 1988 amateur draft by the Braves. He went on to make his major league debut with the organization on August 17, 1991. Less than a month later, on September 11, Wohlers teamed with fellow Braves hurlers Kent Mercker and Alejandro Peña for a combined no-hitter against the San Diego Padres; Wohlers pitched two innings in relief of Mercker. After spending the following three seasons as a setup pitcher, Wohlers was given the job as a closer in 1995. He went on to record 97 saves over the next three seasons, also saving the 1-0 victory in the clinching Game 6 of the 1995 World Series, establishing himself as one of the best closers in the majors. Wohlers' success would not last forever.

Born Ormetta Grace Hawley in Holyoke, Massachusetts, she began her acting career in live theatre before turning... to the new silent film industry in 1911 with Lubin Studios in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Over her short film career she reportedly appeared in more than three hundred motion pictures, a large number of which would have been short films. She made her last film in 1919.

Michael Berresse is an American actor, dancer, choreographer, and director. The son of artist and author Cynthia Berresse Ploski, he has appeared on... Broadway in many shows including: Kiss Me, Kate, Chicago, Fiddler on the Roof, Carousel and Damn Yankees, and The Light in the Piazza as Giuseppe Naccarelli. Berresse was recently seen on Broadway as Zach in the revival of the musical A Chorus Line and more recently in an L.A. production of Jason Robert Brown's "Parade" at the Mark Taper Forum. Reared primarily in Chicago, Berresse's father was an engineer and his mother was an artist and writer. In the early 80's, he deferred his admission to college to accept a job dancing at a Walt Disney World theme park in Orlando, Florida. That fall, he was offered a year-long contract with Disney and accepted it, putting off college indefinitely. He spent several years touring with Disney, dancing in shows around the world. In 1992, he appeared on Star Search in a dance group called "The Boys Back East", winning the title of Best New Dance Group and a shared prize of $100,000.

Track Bangas is a record production team consisting of Jeffrey “Smitty” Smith, Derrick “D.” St. Amand, Justin “J.... Pill” Pipkins, Jeno “J-Tunez” Warren, & Ty “Badaboom” Smith. They were best known early on for their “banging” drums, thus their moniker Track Bangas, as well as their sampled production. The production team is also well known by their signature tag, “You are now listening to a Track Bangas production”, at the beginning of their beats. They have worked with artists like Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Trae Tha Truth, Yelawolf, DJ Khaled, Mystikal, Pusha T, Tity Boi, Tech N9ne, Chamillionaire, Jae Millz, Inspectah Deck, and many more. They are currently working with Shady Records artist, Yelawolf, and are the in-house producers for Kurupt and Trae Tha Truth. Smitty and D. were both born in western Massachusetts in 1985 and were raised in Holyoke, MA. Smitty’s first instrument was the recorder in elementary school. He then worked his way up to the saxophone, which led him to be recruited to another school for his raw, untrained skill. D. took a liking to the art of DJing at an unusually young age .
