The basketball picture seen here is the Houston Rockets alternate logo. This is sometimes referred to as the "White H and R shaped like a rocket ship taking off in between Houston Rockets script on red" version. This graphic was used as the alternate logo of the Houston Rockets from 2004 through present. The team was formed as the San Diego Rockets in 1967/68, following that, they switched to the Houston Rockets in 1971/72.
