Ian Maurice Gold is a former American football linebacker of the National Football League turned author. He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the second round of the 2000 NFL Draft. He played college football at Michigan. A Pro Bowl selection for the Broncos in 2001, Gold played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2004 between stints in Denver. He was released following the 2007 season by the Denver Broncos. Although expected to be a "hot commodity" in Free Agency after his release, no significant interest materialized for Ian after his release which confirmed Bronco team rumors regarding his... future. Ian Gold played linebacker for the Denver Broncos from 2000 to 2004. After playing for the Broncos in 2004, Gold became a free agent. In 2004, Gold left to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After the season, he again became a free agent. On the market again in 2005, Gold re-joined the Broncos and went to the AFC Championship that same year.
