Bronco Stadium is an outdoor athletic stadium in Boise, Idaho, the home field of the Boise State Broncos of the Mountain West Conference. Since 1997,... it has hosted the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl , the longest-running outdoor bowl game in a cold-weather venue. Opened in 1970, Bronco Stadium is also a track & field stadium; it has hosted the NCAA track & field championships twice, in 1994 and 1999. The stadium is used extensively for local high school football. Bronco Stadium is widely known for its unusual blue playing surface, installed in 1986 as the first non-green playing surface in football history and remains the only one among NCAA Division I FBS schools. Bronco Stadium is located at the east end of the BSU campus, bordered by Broadway Avenue to the east, University Drive to the south, and the Boise River to the north. The elevation of its playing field is 2,695 feet above sea level. Bronco Stadium is the third venue and second of the same name at Boise State; the stadiums were built in 1940, 1950, and 1970, respectively.

CenturyLink Arena Boise is a multi-purpose arena in Boise, Idaho. It holds 5,300 fans for ice hockey and basketball, 5,732 for end-stage concerts,... 6,400 for boxing and up to 6,800 for center-stage concerts. It contains 4,508 permanent seats. It was built for $50 million. It has been home to the Idaho Steelheads ECHL ice hockey team since 1997, the home of the Boise Stallions Indoor football team from 1999 to 2001, the home of the Idaho Stampede D-League basketball team during the 2001 season and again since the 2005-06 season, and the home of the Boise Burn arena football team from 2007 to 2009. CenturyLink Arena hosted the 2006 CBA All-Star Game and the 2007 ECHL All-Star Game. The arena features 39 corporate suites, 1,100 Club Premiere seats, standing room space for 200 people, The Zone restaurant overlooking the arena, as well as a Blimpie franchise among the 9 concession stands. The arena is physically connected to the Grove Hotel at the corner of Front Street & Capitol Boulevard in Boise. The main entrance to the arena is from the Grove Plaza.

The Mason Cornwall House is located in Northern Idaho at 308 South Hayes Street in Moscow, Idaho. The residence is a Victorian Italianate style house... constructed of brick with a stucco finish. It is architecturally significant as one of the finest houses of its period in this area. The Cornwall house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is currently used as a private dwelling. The stucco was applied to the brick in a technique that simulates cut stone. The house was built in 1889 by Lauder and Taylor, builders in the Moscow area. The builder used Troy brick from a brick company in Troy, Idaho to construct the 16-inch thick exterior walls on the first floor and 12-inch walls on the second floor. This house has other Italianate features including a hipped roof and first story round arch windows which are bordered by a band of molding all the way around the house. There are rusticated quoins located underneath the roof cornice. The 2-foot-high metal brackets under the eaves are handmade. The original roof was covered with interlocking metal shingles and had a small square structure with windows atop it.

Lana Turner was an American actress. Discovered and signed to a film contract by MGM at the age of sixteen, Turner first attracted attention in They Won't Forget . She played featured roles, often as the ingenue, in such films as Love Finds Andy Hardy . During the early 1940s she established... herself as a leading actress in such films as Johnny Eager , Ziegfeld Girl and Somewhere I'll Find You . She is known as one of the first Hollywood scream queens thanks to her role in the 1941 horror film Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and her reputation as a glamorous femme fatale was enhanced by her performance in the film noir The Postman Always Rings Twice . Her popularity continued through the 1950s, in such films as The Bad and the Beautiful and Peyton Place , for which she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress. In 1958, her daughter, Cheryl Crane, stabbed Turner's lover Johnny Stompanato to death. A coroner's inquest brought considerable media attention to Turner and concluded that Crane had acted in self defense.

She claims that while growing up she was painfully shy as a child. Wilson found her niche in many school activities, including cheerleading, dance, and was very competitive in track and field.

Harmon Clayton Killebrew , nicknamed "Killer" and "Hammerin' Harmon", was an American professional baseball first baseman, third baseman, and left fielder. During his 22-year career in Major League Baseball , he played for the Washington Senators, a team which later became the Minnesota Twins, and... the Kansas City Royals. When he retired, he was second only to Babe Ruth in American League home runs and was the AL career leader in home runs by a right-handed batter . He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1984. Killebrew was a stocky 5 ft 11 in , 210-pound hitter with a compact swing that generated tremendous power. He became one of the AL's most feared power hitters of the 1960s, hitting 40 home runs in a season eight times. In 1965, he played in the World Series with the Minnesota Twins, who lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers. His finest season was 1969, when he hit 49 home runs, recorded 140 runs batted in , and won the AL Most Valuable Player Award.

Barbara Radding Morgan is an American teacher and a former NASA astronaut. She participated in the Teacher in Space program as the backup to Christa McAuliffe for the ill-fated STS-51L mission of Space Shuttle Challenger. She then trained as a Mission Specialist, and flew on STS-118 in August... 2007. Leading up to STS-118, Morgan joined Sally Ride and Shannon Lucid as female astronauts widely covered by the media. Morgan was born to Dr. and Mrs. Jerry Radding in 1951 and raised in Fresno, California, where she attended Hoover High School. Following graduation in 1969, she was accepted to Stanford University in Palo Alto, where she graduated with distinction in 1973 with a B.A. in Human Biology. She obtained her teaching credential from Notre Dame de Namur University in nearby Belmont in 1974. Morgan began her teaching career in 1974 on the Flathead Indian Reservation at Arlee Elementary School in Arlee, Montana, where she taught remedial reading and math. From 1975 to 1978, she taught remedial reading/math and second grade at McCall-Donnelly Elementary School in McCall, Idaho.
