Dan Maydan, Ph.D. has been a member of Infinera´s board of directors since September 2001. From April 2003 to September 2005, Dr. Maydan served as the President Emeritus of Applied Materials, Inc., a company that manufactures semiconductor equipment, and was a member of its board of directors... from June 1992 until March 2006. From December 1993 to April 2003, Dr. Maydan served as President of Applied Materials. Dr. Maydan holds a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Israel Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in Physics from Edinburgh University of Scotland.

Jagdeep Singh is President, CEO and founder of Infinera. Mr. Singh was President and General Manager of CIENA Corporation's Core Switching Division ... and served as a director of CIENA Corporation. Mr. Singh joined CIENA, a leader in the optical communications equipment market, after its acquisition of Lightera Networks. At Lightera, Mr. Singh served as President and CEO and led the company from startup to a leadership position in the market for optical switching equipment for telecommunications networks. Prior to founding Lightera, Mr. Singh was a Venture Partner at the venture capital firm InterWest Partners, focusing on investments in the data communications and telecommunications sectors. Before joining InterWest, Mr. Singh was Vice President, Technology Strategy at Shiva Corp. He joined Shiva following its acquisition of AirSoft, Inc., where he was President and CEO. Prior to founding AirSoft, Mr. Singh held technical and marketing positions at Sun Microsystems and Hewlett-Packard. Mr. Singh holds an MS in Computer Science from Stanford University, an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Maryland.

Kenneth A. Goldman has been a member of Infinera's board of directors since February 2005. From August 2000 until March 2006, Mr. Goldman served as... Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer of Siebel Systems, Inc., a supplier of customer software solutions and services. Prior to joining Siebel Systems, he held Chief Financial Officer positions at Excite@Home, Sybase, Cypress Semiconductor, and VLSI Technology.  From December 1999 to December 2003, Mr. Goldman served as an advisory council member of the Financial Accounting Standards Board Advisory Council. Mr. Goldman holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.

Reed E. Hundt was chairman of the United States Federal Communications Commission from 1993 to 1997. Appointed by President Bill Clinton, he served... for most of Clinton's first term. He was succeeded by William Kennard. Hundt attended high school in Washington D.C at the prestigious St. Albans School. Upon graduation he earned a B.A. with Exceptional Distinction in History from Yale College and a law degree from Yale Law School where he was a member of the executive board of the Yale Law Journal. From 1975 to 1993 he practiced law at Latham & Watkins. At the FCC, Hundt oversaw the introduction of spectrum auctions and the implementation of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 that reduced substantially the rates for international telecommunications service. Hundt has claimed that, while a Commissioner, he was critical at the provisions of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 that relaxed rules preventing the consolidation of radio station ownership in the hands of a few companies.
