Jack Brewer is a former American football safety in the National Football League for the Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, and the Arizona Cardinals. Brewer played college football at Minnesota and finished his career with 155 tackles, the fourth highest total in school history. He spent time between safety and wide receiver throughout his collegiate career. He was a first-team All-Big Ten Conference selection by the media and honorable mention All-Big Ten pick by the coaches as a senior, and also earned the Carl Eller Award as the team's most outstanding defensive... player and the Paul Giel Award for unselfishness team play. He was selected to play in the East-West Shrine Game and the Senior Bowl. Brewer started ten games at free safety and one at strong safety in his first full season on the defensive side of the ball. He led the Big Ten in tackles per game with 14.1. He averaged over 16 tackles a game in Big Ten play to also lead the conference. He moved to wide receiver as a junior after spending his sophomore season at free safety. Brewer was third on the team with 22 catches for 286 yards.
