James Richard Laurinaitis is an American football linebacker for the St. Louis Rams of the National Football League . Laurinaitis was a three-year starting middle linebacker at Ohio State University, and was a three-time consensus All-American. He was selected by the St. Louis Rams with the 35th overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. He is the son of former professional wrestler Joe Laurinaitis, better known as Animal, one half of the tag team The Road Warriors.
