Munro starred in three Disney motion picture releases, Darby O'Gill and the Little People , Third Man on the Mountain and Swiss Family Robinson , as well as The Horsemasters , which aired on Disney's weekly television series. Other film credits include science fiction films such as The Trollenberg Terror and The Day the Earth Caught Fire . Born Janet Neilson Horsburgh, the daughter of Scottish comedian Alex Munro and his wife, Phyllis Robertshaw, in Blackpool in 1934, she used her father's stage name professionally.
