The University of Georgia is a public research university located in Athens, Georgia, United States. Founded in 1785, it is the oldest and largest of the state's institutions of higher learning and is one of multiple schools to claim the title of the oldest public university in the United States.... UGA offers seventy-nine degree programs in a wide range of disciplines and enrolls about 26,000 undergraduate and about 9,000 graduate students from the United States and around the world every year. The university is organized into sixteen schools and colleges. In its 2011 edition, U.S. News & World Report ranked the university's undergraduate program 56th among national universities, while ranking the business, education, journalism, law, and public affairs graduate programs as high as 4th and all in the top 50. The same publication also cited the university as the No. 11 ranked "Up-and-Coming School" in the National University category tied with the University of Southern California and ahead of Emory University. It has also been recognized as one of the Public Ivies. The university also made the list of "Top 10 Public Ivy League Schools.

Nettleton is a town in Lee and Monroe counties in Mississippi. The population was 1,992 at the 2010 census. Nettleton is located at 34°5′18″N 88°37′22″W / 34.08833°N 88.62278°W / 34.08833; -88.62278 . The town sits on the boundary... line between Lee County on the north and Monroe County on the south, with approximately equal portions of the town in either county. In the 2000 census, 1,196 of the town's 1,932 residents lived in Monroe County and 736 in Lee County. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.7 square miles , of which 2.7 square miles is land and 0.37% is water. As of the census of 2000, there were 1,932 people, 794 households, and 546 families residing in the town. The population density was 714.8 people per square mile . There were 868 housing units at an average density of 321.1 per square mile . The racial makeup of the town was 66.56% White, 32.51% African American, 0.10% Native American, 0.36% Asian, 0.16% from other races, and 0.31% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.36% of the population.
