The Carolina Panthers are a professional American football team based in Charlotte, North Carolina. They are currently members of the South Division of the National Football Conference in the National Football League . The Panthers, along with the Jacksonville Jaguars, joined the NFL as expansion... teams in 1995. In their existence, the Panthers have compiled a record of 131–150, and appeared in Super Bowl XXXVIII in Houston. The Panthers have held their summer training camp at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina every year since the franchise began. In 1987, shortly after it was decided that Charlotte would receive an expansion National Basketball Association franchise , former Baltimore Colts player Jerry Richardson met with a group of potential backers to discuss the possibility of bringing an NFL expansion team to the Carolina region. In 1992, the NFL released the list of five areas open to a potential NFL team: Baltimore, Maryland; St. Louis, Missouri; Memphis, Tennessee; Jacksonville, Florida; and the Carolinas, represented by Charlotte.

Texas Christian University is a private, coeducational university located in Fort Worth, Texas, United States and founded in 1873. TCU is affiliated with, but not governed by, the Disciples of Christ. Its mascot is the "horned frog." TCU has an enrollment of roughly 9,518 students, 8,229 of which... are undergraduates. Texas Christian University was founded by East Texas brothers Addison & Randolph Clark, together with the support of their father Joseph A. Clark. The Clarks were scholar-preacher/teachers associated with the Restoration Movement. These early leaders of the Restoration Movement were the spiritual ancestors of the modern Disciples of Christ, as well as major proponents of education. Following their return from service in the Civil War, brothers Addison and Randolph established a children's preparatory school in Fort Worth. This school, known as the Male & Female Seminary of Fort Worth, operated from 1869 to 1874. Both Clarks nourished a vision for an institution of higher education that would be Christian in character, but non-sectarian in spirit and intellectually open-minded. They purchased five blocks of land in downtown Fort Worth in 1869 for that purpose.

Waller is a city in Texas, United States, partly in Waller County and partly in Harris County within the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown metropolitan area. The population was 2,092 at the 2000 census. The Waller area is located along U.S. Highway 290 forty-one miles northwest of Downtown... Houston. Waller is located at 30°3′32″N 95°55′35″W / 30.05889°N 95.92639°W / 30.05889; -95.92639 . Most land development within Waller is located near the historic town center, however; businesses oriented toward travelers are beginning to locate along the U.S. Highway 290 corridor. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.5 square miles .None of the area is covered with water. As of the census of 2000, there were 2,092 people, 768 households, and 530 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,401.1 people per square mile . There were 842 housing units at an average density of 563.9 per square mile . The racial makeup of the city was 66.20% White, 21.70% African American, 0.29% Native American, 0.86% Asian, 9.89% from other races, and 1.05% from two or more races.
