Javier Herrera

Javier Armando Herrera is a minor league baseball player with the New York Yankees organization. He was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Oakland Athletics in 2001. He began his American professional career in 2003, with the AZL Athletics, hitting .230 in 17 games. With the Vancouver Canadians in 2004, he hit .331 with 12 home runs and 23 stolen bases in 65 games. Herrera played for the Kane County Cougars and Sacramento River Cats in 2005, hitting a combined .280 with 14 home runs and 27 stolen bases.
