Jermareo Davidson is an American basketball player. He played power forward for the Alabama Crimson Tide men's basketball team. He attended Joseph Wheeler High School, where his team won back-to-back state titles. He posted career highs of 34 points, 15 rebounds, and 14 blocks, as well as setting school records for total rebounds and blocks. Davidson averaged nearly a double-double per game in his senior year at the University of Alabama. After his junior year, Davidson tested the waters of the NBA Draft. However, he pulled his name out of the draft and decided to return to college for his... senior year. During his senior year, Davidson experienced much sorrow when his girlfriend and fellow student at Alabama Nicole Murphy died in a car accident on November 12, 2006. Davidson and Murphy were driving to an Atlanta hospital to visit Davidson's brother, Dewayne Watkins, who had suffered critical injuries from a gunshot. Murphy, who was driving the vehicle, lost control of the car and was ejected in the ensuing crash. She died the following morning. Davidson suffered no serious injuries in the accident.
