Deep Purple are an English rock band formed in Hertford in 1968. They are considered to be among the pioneers of heavy metal and modern hard rock,... although some band members claimed that their music cannot be categorised as belonging to any one genre. They were once listed by the Guinness Book of World Records as "the loudest pop group", and have sold over 100 million albums worldwide, including 7.5 million certified units in the US. Deep Purple were ranked #22 on VH1's Greatest Artists of Hard Rock programme. The band has gone through many line-up changes and an eight-year hiatus . The 1968–76 line-ups are commonly labelled Mark I, II, III and IV. Their second and most commercially successful line-up featured Ian Gillan , Roger Glover , Jon Lord , Ian Paice , and Ritchie Blackmore . This line-up was active from 1969 to 1973, and was revived from 1984 to 1989, and again in 1993, before the rift between Blackmore and other members became unbridgeable.

Hughes Turner Project was a musical project formed in the 2001 by bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes and guitarist/vocalist Joe Lynn Turner . Long time... friends Glenn Hughes and Joe Lynn Turner had first planned to release an album together in 1989, the two got together and wrote some demos, but nothing ended up being released from these sessions. In 2000 Hughes toured Japan with Turner, followed by joint appearances during the Voices of Classic Rock tour in 2001. During this time the two decided to start work on a new collaboration. The duo released their first album in February 2002, it was simply called HTP. The album featured Hughes’ regular guitarist JJ Marsh, who contributed to much of the song-writing. There were also contributions drummer Shane Galaas and keyboardist Vince DiCola as well as guest guitarists John Sykes, Paul Gilbert and Akira Kajiyama.

Brazen Abbot is a Finnish rock band. Originally a studio project of Bulgarian guitarist, producer and song writer Nikolo Kotzev, who is a Finnish... resident, the band has since made several live performances. One of the defining aspects of Brazen Abbot is the employment of multiple singers; every album features three or four singers, with Göran Edman and Joe Lynn Turner having appeared on most Brazen Abbot albums. Nikolo Kotzev originally intended to use only one singer; original singer Göran Edman could only commit to recording two songs for the first album due to contractual obligations. Glenn Hughes was then supposed to record the remaining songs; however contractual obligations hindered him from recording more than three songs, at which point Kotzev brought in Thomas Vikström to record the remaining songs. Kotzev was so pleased with the result that he decided to keep using multiple singers for future albums. When performing live, however, Joe Lynn Turner is typically the only singer.

Frontiers Records is an Italian record label, predominantly producing melodic rock. It was formed in 1996 by Serafino Perugino and is based in Naples, Italy. Perugino started working in the music industry in 1996, as Italian distributor for numerous artists in the field of melodic rock and earned... an excellent reputation in the field, so that he could soon set up an independent label. 1998 saw the birth of Frontiers Records. The label was launched with the goal of producing high quality products in the field of melodic rock offering. The first release of the new label was the double live album Never Say Goodbye by the British hard rock group Ten. In addition to the commitment of Frontiers Records to manage new artists in the genre the label roster is full of very well known bands and artists, such as Winger, Styx, Toto, Yes, Joe Lynn Turner, Journey, Thunder, Survivor, Glenn Hughes, House of Lords and Whitesnake. Frontiers Records in December 2010 completed sales contract with EMI Music for the U.S. and Canada distribution, which became effective from January 2011.
