John Yohan Cho is a Korean-American actor and musician, best known for his roles and as Harold Lee in the Harold & Kumar films and as the character who coins the term "MILF" in the American Pie films . He also appeared in the critically acclaimed hit films Better Luck Tomorrow and American Beauty. More recently, Cho's fame has increased with his portrayal of the iconic Star Trek character Hikaru Sulu in the 2009 film Star Trek. For television, he is best known for his roles as FBI agent Demetri Noh in the Sci-Fi television drama FlashForward and Chau Presley in the sitcom Off Centre.... Cho was born in Seoul, South Korea, and raised in Los Angeles, where his family settled in 1978. His father was a minister in the Church of Christ, and was originally from North Korea. Cho graduated from Herbert Hoover High School in Glendale, California, in 1990. He then attended the University of California, Berkeley, graduating in 1996 with a BA degree in English, and taught English at Pacific Hills School in West Hollywood, California.
