Travis Sampson is a former contestant on the reality television show Survivor: Vanuatu.

David Cole was a songwriter and record producer, and was one half of the dance-music duo C+C Music Factory, which he founded with musical partner... Robert Clivillés. Robert Clivillés and David Cole also produced various hits for other artists such as Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam, Deborah Cooper, and many others. After Cole's death in 1995, partner Robert Clivillés continued to keep C+C Music Factory going through his own production work. In the late 1980's Robert Clivillés and David Cole where active in 2 Puerto Ricans, a Blackman, and a Dominican and The 28th Street Crew. Cole also released one solo-single called "You Take My Breath Away" in 1988. The duo were also responsible for the formation of pop group Seduction, for whom they wrote and produced a string of Top-10 hits. They contributed to the career of former Weather Girls vocalist Martha Wash who at the same time was one the lead vocalist for the dance act Blackbox. In 1990 Clivillés and Cole released a single, featuring later C+C Music Factory rapper Freedom Williams, called "Get Dumb! " as The Crew.

Joe Bowman, born Joseph Lee Bowman , was a Houston bootmaker and marksman called "The Straight Shooter", considered to have been a guardian of Texas... and western frontier culture. Shortly after his death, Bowman was inducted posthumously into the Texas Heroes Hall of Honor at the Frontier Times Museum in Bandera, along with museum founder J. Marvin Hunter and folklorist J. Frank Dobie. Bowman was born to parents Mark McKinley Bowman, Sr. and Margaret Clark Bowman, in Johnson City in East Tennessee. He was reared in Asheville, in western North Carolina, where he and his brother, Mark, Jr., watched Tom Mix and Gene Autry films as boys. When he was twelve in 1937, Bowman moved with his parents to Houston, where his father procured work as an auto mechanic and as a place of potential relief for young Mark’s asthma. Young Bowman learned to shoot flies off the garbage can with BB guns. At the age of fifteen, he began apprenticeships with Roy Smith Boots and Palace Boots in downtown Houston. He was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America during his formative years in Houston and attained their highest rank of Eagle Scout.

Terry Garland is an American blues guitarist, songwriter and singer. Allmusic journalist, Niles J. Frantz stated "Garland is country blues... interpreter who plays a National steel guitar, often with a slide, in the style of Bukka White and Fred McDowell." His two earlier albums were released on BMG/First Warning. The harmonica player, Mark Wenner, from The Nighthawks contributed to Garland's records. His most recent release was Whistling in the Dark, issued in 2006.
