Kingsville

Javelina Stadium is a stadium in Kingsville, Texas. It is primarily used for American football, and is the home field of Texas A&M... University-Kingsville. The stadium holds 15,000 people and opened in 1950. A new scoreboard was installed during the 2006 football season. The scoreboard is the largest scoreboard structure in NCAA Division II and was installed and built by Daktronics. The scoreboard is 36 feet wide and 36 feet tall and stands 12 feet off the ground. The video display is over 15 feet tall and 20 feet wide. It features a three camera system and a fully functional production room located under the east side grandstand. It also features a new sound system. As the home of the Javelinas, the stadium has seen Texas A&I win 7 National Championships in 1959, 1969, 1970, 1974, 1975, 1976 and 1979. Also of note, the Javelinas achieved a 42-game winning streak - undefeated and untied from their last game of 1973 through the third game of 1977. In addition to college football, the stadium serves as the home of Henrietta M. King High School's football team and often selected as a neutral site for high school football playoff games.

Nolan Ryan Field is a baseball venue located in Kingsville, TX and has been the home of the TAMU-Kingsville Javalinas baseball team since 1994. The... Javalinas are a member of the Lone Star Conference. The ballpark holds a capacity of 4,000 and was named after the MLB career strikeout leader and Texas pitching legend, Nolan Ryan, who aided in gathering the capital that built the stadium. She attended school at Texas A&M University-Kingsville and the University... of Texas before earning a post-graduate degree from the Yale School of Drama. She has appeared in films such as The Abyss, Gross Anatomy, Flatliners, The Waterdance, Falling Down, The Client, Drop Zone, Batman Forever, Batman & Robin, The Velocity of Gary, K-PAX, I Am Sam, Impostor, The United States of Leland, Guess Who, World Trade Center and Love and Other Drugs. In 1988, she was nominated for a Tony Award and a Drama Desk Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for August Wilson's Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Scott has also appeared in the television shows MacGyver, The Commish, Family Dog, ER, Chicago Hope, Malibu Shores, 3rd Rock from the Sun, JAG, Sister, Sister, The Practice, NYPD Blue, Touched by an Angel, Once and Again, Soul Food, Family Law, Providence, Will & Grace, Wonderfalls, 7th Heaven, and Medium. Kit Pongetti is an American actress, singer and writer, known for several acting roles, including playing Lady, the wife of the Janitor, in the show... Scrubs. Pongetti was born in Kingsville, Texas and soon thereafter moved to Clear Lake, a suburb of Houston, Texas. Her father was a chemical engineer and her mother taught mathematics at Arizona State University. Pongetti graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1992 and moved to Los Angeles, California. After dabbling in music, writing and theater, she devoted herself full time to acting starting in late 2002. Since that time, she has performed in a variety of commercial and theatrical television roles. Pongetti performed in the band Those Who Dig. She began work in Los Angeles as an assistant to writers on the TV Series Roseanne in 1995. Thereafter, she began doing improvisational comedy at The Groundlings Theater. She has also performed music that was used in the TV series Gilmore Girls and My Boys , as well as helping to write and perform a song used in the movie Van Wilder .
