Kissimmee

The current Silver Spurs Arena is an 8,000-seat multi-purpose arena, in Kissimmee, Florida. It was built in 2003. It replaced the original Silver... Spurs grand stand. Both are home to the Silver Spurs Rodeo, a semi-annual rodeo event, as well as concerts, family shows and sporting events . The arena, part of the Osceola Heritage Park entertainment complex, features 12 luxury suites, four locker rooms and additional amenities. The arena was home to the Florida Seals of the Southern Professional Hockey League from October 2005 until January 4, 2007. During the 2005 season, it was home to the Kissimmee Kreatures of the National Indoor Football League. During 2006, the team was to be known as the Osceola Outlaws but then changed their name to Osceola Football as another team in the NIFL located in Billings, Montana held that nickname. For the 2007 season the team changed its nickname to Osceola Ghostriders and played in the World Indoor Football League.

The Osceola County Courthouse is a historic courthouse in Kissimmee, Florida, located at 2 Courthouse Square. On August 16, 1977, it was added to... the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Kissimmee City has the oldest Courthouse in the State of Florida. The county Courthouse was formed in 1887; this county came up about from the parts of Orange and Brevard Counties. To determine the name of the county, the county commissioners decided to hold elections on February 6, 1887; the names they come up with for the county was Kissimmee City, Runnymeade, and Hell or Hades- Kissimmee City won with 421 votes. When the elections were done the committee was formed and they started right away to find a location to build a Courthouse and jail for the new County Seat. The D.B. Stewart family helped purchased the Historic Osceola Courthouse in 1888 for $2,205.32. The new designs for the Courthouse and a jail were ready in August 1888 so they could start building the blue print “building plans” by F.C. Johnson. The type of design is a Typical of Romanesque revival Courthouse that was constructed throughout the United States during the late 1800s.

Osceola County Stadium is a baseball park located in Kissimmee, Florida. It is the home stadium of the Gulf Coast League Astros rookie league minor... league baseball team of the Gulf Coast League. It is also the spring training home of the Houston Astros and their minor league affiliates. The stadium holds 5,300 people, the smallest seating capacity of any Grapefruit League stadium. It has previously served as the home field for the Class A Florida State League's Kissimmee Cobras and Osceola Astros . The Osceola County Stadium and Complex underwent a significant renovation in 2003 at a price of $18.4 million The renovation increased seating capacity, upgraded the press box, improved the clubhouses, and added "Autograph Alley" which is a popular feature of spring training events. The Osceola County Complex is also home of the Jim Evans Academy of Professional Umpiring where many hopeful future major league umpires go to learn their trade.

Robert Lee "Bobby" Sippio, Jr. is an American football wide receiver for the Orlando Predators of the Arena Football League. He was signed by the... Peoria Pirates in 2002. He played college football at Western Kentucky. Throughout Sippio's professional career, he has played for 13 different teams in 4 different leagues, including the Miami Dolphins, Kansas City Chiefs, and Detroit Lions of the National Football League. Sippio played college football at Western Kentucky for three seasons. He attended Osceola High School in Kissimmee, Florida where he played football and basketball. He played cornerback along with former Chief, Brett Williams. Sippio began playing professional football in 2002 with the Peoria Pirates of af2 and then the Greensboro Prowlers. Before signing joining the Arena Football League. Sippio played in 15 games as a rookie with the Dallas Desperados, recording 75 receptions for 1,217 yards and 32 touchdowns, and recording 25.0 tackles, two interceptions and three passes broken up. He made his Arena Football League debut February 8 vs. the Carolina Cobras, catching four passes for 78 yards and two touchdowns.
