The Denver Broncos are a professional American football team based in Denver, Colorado. They are currently members of the West Division of the American Football Conference in the National Football League. The Broncos began play in 1960 as a charter member of the American Football League and joined... the NFL as part of the AFL–NFL merger of 1970. The Broncos have been a successful franchise, having won 2 Super Bowls and 6 AFC Championships. They play at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, and have 4 players in the Pro Football Hall of Fame: John Elway, Floyd Little, Gary Zimmerman, and Shannon Sharpe. The Denver Broncos were founded on August 14, 1959 when minor league baseball owner Bob Howsam was awarded an American Football League charter franchise. The Broncos won the first-ever AFL game over the Boston Patriots 13–10, on September 9, 1960. On August 5, 1967, they became the first ever AFL team to defeat an NFL team after beating the Detroit Lions 13–7, in a preseason game. However, the Broncos were not successful in the 1960s, compiling a record of 39–97–4 in the league.

Belford is a census-designated place and unincorporated area located within Middletown Township, in Monmouth County, New Jersey. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP population was 1,768. The ferry slip at Belford is New York Waterway's Raritan Bayshore terminal with service to Paulus Hook... Ferry Terminal in Jersey City, Pier 11 at Wall Street, the Battery Park City Ferry Terminal, and West Midtown Ferry Terminal in New York City. Boats travel across the Lower New York Bay and enter the harbor at The Narrows for a trip that takes approximately 50 minutes. In 2011, $2.5 million in state funding was awarded to improve the bulkhead at the facility. Belford is located at 40°25′37″N 74°05′06″W / 40.426814°N 74.084926°W / 40.426814; -74.084926 . According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.3 square miles , of which 0.1 square miles , or 3.79%, is water. As of the census of 2000, there were 1,340 people, 436 households, and 374 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 1,058.9 people per square mile . There were 458 housing units at an average density of 361.9/sq mi .
