Marszałek Piłsudski Stadium is a football stadium in Kraków, Poland and is the home ground of Cracovia. The stadium was built in... 1906. In 2009 - 2010 in the same location was built new stadium. After reconstruction the stadium holds 15,016 people. The stadium meets the criteria for UEFA Category 3. Stadium design was made by consortium of architectural Polish and Spanish companies Estudio Lamela Sp. z o.o, Estudio Lamela S.L., Sener Sp. z o.o. and Sener Ingenieria y Sistemas S.A. The general contructor was consortium of German Alpine Bau Deutschland AG, Austrian Alpine Bau GmbH and Polish Alpine Construction Polska Sp. z o.o and KPBP „Budus” S.A. Cost was estimated at 157 mln PLN. In June 2009, the process of construction began. Firstly, the old Cracovia stadium, built in 1912, was demolished. Construction was completed in September 2010. Cracovia played its first official match in the new stadium on 25 September 2010 with Arka Gdynia. The new stadium is located within the square of the streets: Kraszewskiego, Focha, Kałuży and Zwierzyniec. Exact location has been slightly changed in comparison to the old one.

Josef Casimir Hofmann was a Polish-American virtuoso pianist, composer, music teacher, and inventor. Josef Hofmann was born in Podgórze, near... Kraków, Austria-Hungary in 1876. His father was the composer, conductor and pianist Kazimierz Hofmann, and his mother the singer Matylda Pindelska. A child prodigy, he gave a debut recital in Warsaw at the age of 5, and a long series of concerts throughout Europe and Scandinavia, culminating in a series of concerts in America in 1887-88 that elicited comparisons with young Mozart and young Mendelssohn. Anton Rubinstein took Hofmann as his only private student in 1892 and arranged the debut of his pupil in Hamburg, Germany in 1894. Hofmann toured and performed extensively over the next 50 years as one of the most celebrated pianists of the era. In 1913, he was presented with a set of keys to the city of St. Petersburg, Russia. As a composer, Hofmann published over one hundred works, many of those under the pseudonym Michel Dvorsky, including two piano concertos and ballet music.

He went on to join the Piwnica pod Baranami Cabaret, composing such hits as "Znów wędrujemy", and released his first album, Naprawdę nie dzieje się nic in 1991. He has released eleven albums to date, including one made up of his own versions of songs by Jeremi Przybora and Jerzy Wasowski, and most have enjoyed considerable chart success. His characteristic style consists of strong, clear lyrics and music composed in special keys and harmonies, using instruments such as piano , saxophone, violin and various horns. Influenced by such artists as Marek Grechuta and Jan Kanty Pawluśkiewicz, his music style has been described as "soft jazz". He did participate in the Aleksander Glondys's "Ellington po krakowsku" , a concert based upon idea of notable composers of Piwnica pod Baranami playing their interpretations of Duke`s music.

Jerzy Stuhr is one of the most popular, influential and versatile Polish film and theatre actors. He also works as a screenwriter, film director and... drama professor. He serves as the Rector of the Ludwik Solski Academy for the Dramatic Arts in Kraków. Jerzy Stuhr's ancestors, Leopold Stuhr and Anna Thill, migrated to Kraków from Mistelbach, Austria, shortly after their wedding in 1879. Having obtained a degree in Polish literature from the Jagiellonian University in 1970, Stuhr spent the next two years studying acting at the Academy for the Dramatic Arts in Kraków , where he became a professor. From the early 1970s, Stuhr appeared in Polish theatre and worked in film productions, making his debut with the role of Beelzebub in Adam Mickiewicz's Dziady directed by Konrad Swinarski. Having met film director Krzysztof Kieślowski in the mid-1970s, he continued to work with him until Kieślowski's death in 1996.

Ignaz Friedman Isaac Freudman, Yiddish: שְׁלֹמֹה יִצְחָק... פֿרײדמאַן was a Polish pianist and composer. Critics and colleagues alike placed him among the supreme piano virtuosi of his day, alongside Leopold Godowsky, Moriz Rosenthal, Josef Hofmann and Josef Lhévinne. Born to an itinerant Jewish musician in Podgórze near Kraków, Ignaz Friedman was a child prodigy. He studied with Hugo Riemann in Leipzig and Theodor Leschetizky in Vienna, and participated in Ferruccio Busoni's masterclasses. Friedman lived in Berlin until 1914 and settled in Copenhagen in 1920. His official début in Vienna in 1904 featured a program of three piano concertos, rivaling the similar programs of established titans like Busoni and Godowsky, and he remained a titan throughout his career. His style was quiet and effortless, imbued with a sense of rhythm and color, grounded in a sovereign technique, and much has been written about his peerless interpretations of Chopin in particular.
