The Henley Field Ball Park is a historic site in Lakeland, Florida. It is located at 1125 North Florida Avenue. Clare Henley, for whom the park was... named in 1942, encouraged its construction in an effort to persuade a professional baseball team to train there. On May 23, 1997, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The ballpark was renovated prior to the 2002 season at a cost of $250,000. Joker Marchant Stadium, current home of the Detroit Tigers spring games, and Flying Tigers Florida State League games, was renovated during the 2002 season. Henley was renovated to enable the FSL Tigers to play at the historic ballpark during the 2002 season.

John Wesley Powell is a former major league first baseman who played for the Baltimore Orioles , Cleveland Indians and Los Angeles Dodgers . He was... with the Orioles’ World Series Champion teams in 1966 and 1970, the American League Champion teams in 1966, 1969, 1970 and 1971, and the American League East Division Champion teams in 1969, 1970, 1971, 1973 and 1974. The 4-time All-Star won the American League's Most Valuable Player award in 1970 and in 1964 posted a .606 slugging percentage to lead the American League. He batted left-handed and threw right-handed, playing first base, outfield, and designated hitter. Powell currently owns Boog's Barbecue, which sells barbecue sandwiches and ribs in two locations: on Eutaw Street at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, and the Boardwalk in Ocean City, Maryland. Boog Powell is an avid angler, kicking off the Maryland Fishing season with the governor. Boog Powell joined the Orioles after leading the International League in home runs at Rochester in 1961.

He was originally drafted by... the Denver Broncos in the sixth round of the 1999 NFL Draft. He played college football at Wake Forest. Clark also played for the Miami Dolphins and Chicago Bears. Clark attended Kathleen High School, where he played football as a quarterback, free safety, and return specialist. He was also the holder for former Chicago Bears place kicker Paul Edinger. He also played basketball and baseball during his high school years. His brother, Dominique Davis, plays quarterback at East Carolina University. Clark attended Wake Forest University, where he was a wide receiver and caught at least one pass against every ACC opponent he faced. He was a two-time second team All-ACC selection, a two-time team MVP, and finished his career with 216 receptions for 2834 yards and twenty touchdowns. The Denver Broncos drafted Clark in the sixth round of the 1999 NFL Draft. He played with them for three seasons, until the team waived him the preseason.

Mary Alessi is a Christian songwriter and Worship leader. The daughter of evangelists, Mary and her twin sister Martha Munizzi were born in Lakeland,... Florida but grew up traveling across the United States and ministering through music with her family. Mary, Martha, and their older sister Marvelyne were born with their parents' talent for music and became a part of the traveling family group as kids. The family settled in Orlando, Florida when Mary and Martha were 12, so that the children could attend formal, public school. At age 16, Mary, Martha and Marveline, age 18, helped form a praise and worship band at the urging of a church friend. That group evolved into Testament and became popular enough to travel around the state of Florida performing in churches and at conferences and other events. Today, both Mary and her twin sister Martha Munizzi are recording artists and Mary performs a song she wrote with her sister on Martha's 2006 album No Limits Live and on the No Limits Live DVD. Mary has recorded three independent albums. Her second album, More, is a live recording featuring several songs she wrote herself.

Joseph Nicholas "Nick" Patrick Hamilton Jr. , better known by his ring name Nick Patrick, is a professional wrestling referee. He is a former referee... for World Championship Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment. He has also served as head referee for former WWE developmental territory Deep South Wrestling until that company's closing, and is former head referee for Florida Championship Wrestling. Hamilton is the son of wrestling legend The Assassin. He grew up wanting to become a professional wrestler, but an injury ended his wrestling career very early. Hamilton became a referee because he loved the sport so much. He used the name Nick Patrick to make a name for himself without his father's help. He was a referee in the National Wrestling Alliance 's Jim Crockett Promotions and was retained when they became World Championship Wrestling . He eventually moved up to become the Senior Referee in WCW. When the nWo formed in 1996, he joined and became their official referee. He would allow the nWo wrestlers to cheat and he would show a clear bias towards the nWo.

John Daniel "J. D." Sumner was an American gospel singer, songwriter, and music promoter noted for his extremely deep bass voice, his group J. D.... Sumner and the Stamps Quartet and his associations with Elvis Presley. Sumner sang in Southern gospel groups including The Sunny South Quartet 1945-1949 the Sunshine Boys , the Blackwood Brothers Quartet , J. D. Sumner and the Stamps Quartet , and the Masters V . For eighteen years, Sumner held the Guiness World Record for recording the lowest bass note. As of 2011, he has been surpassed only three times by the following vocalists: Dan Britton , Tim Storms , and Roger Menees . In 1964, Sumner founded the Gospel Music Association with James Blackwood. He was also the founding force behind the National Quartet Convention. Sumner was most noted as leader of the Stamps Quartet which became known as J.D. Sumner & The Stamps. Elvis Presley, while a teenager, idolized Sumner's singing after seeing him perform with the Sunshine Boys. Presley hired Sumner & The Stamps as his back-up singers in 1971.
