The Lawrence and Kristina Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, located in Orange, California, is a part of Chapman University. The Dodge College comprises the School of Film and Television, the Conservatory of Motion Pictures, and the Institute for the Study of Media and the Public Interest. The facilities are open for student use 24/7, and there are many other programs supported by the school such as Location Filmmaking, a Filmmaker-in-Residence program, and Industry Insiders, in which filmmakers not only have a Q&A session with all of the students in the school, but have a more... intimate dinner with about 15 people afterwards, which students are able to sign up for. Admission is highly selective . This is especially true for M.F.A. applicants to the Directing program within the conservatory. Between 8% and 9.5% of Directing applicants were offered admittance the last two years. The school is named after Lawrence and Kristina Dodge whose multimillion dollar contributions funded the university's addition of the state of the art facilities.
