They are also tied with the San Francisco 49ers and the Pittsburgh Steelers for having the most Super Bowl wins . The Cowboys' success and popularity has earned them the nickname "America's Team". In a statistical comparison of all teams since the AFL-NFL merger, ESPN's Page 2 placed the Cowboys at the top of its Ultimate Power Ranking.
