Nina Foch was a Dutch-born American actress and leading lady in many 1940s and 1950s films. Nina Foch was born Nina Consuelo Maud Fock in Leiden,... Holland. Her mother was the American actress and singer Consuelo Flowerton, who returned to the U.S. after her marriage to Foch's father, Dutch classical music conductor Dirk Fock ended. They divorced when Nina was a toddler. As Foch grew up in New York, her mother encouraged her artistic talents. She played the piano and enjoyed art but was more interested in acting. Foch lived in Beverly Hills, California for 40 years. She married three times. Her first marriage was to James Lipton, the future host of Inside the Actors Studio. She later married Dennis de Brito in 1959. The couple had one child before divorcing in 1963. Her final marriage, to Michael Dewell, began in 1967 but ended in divorce in 1993. Foch died December 5, 2008, of complications from the blood disorder myelodysplasia at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Her only son, Dr. Dirk de Brito, told the Los Angeles Times that "She had become ill while teaching at the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts.

Glenn Helder is a former Dutch footballer. He was a product of Ajax Amsterdam's youth system, though to get first team football he moved to Sparta... Rotterdam in 1989 where he played 93 games, scoring nine goals. In 1993 he moved to Vitesse Arnhem where he played 52 games, scoring 12 goals and attracting the interest of English club Arsenal. Helder joined Arsenal on 14 February 1995 and made his debut in a 1–0 home win against Nottingham Forest on 21 February. He was the final signing made by George Graham, who left a week after his arrival. Helder was with Arsenal until October 1997, and his time there was comparatively disappointing—he made 27 league appearances plus 12 as a substitute, scoring one goal . In late 1996, Arsenal sent him on loan to Benfica where he sustained a serious injury. Returning to the club, he found that he had been replaced by Marc Overmars and was unable to break back into the first team.

Wilhelmus Gerardus Rijsbergen ˈɣeː.ˌrɑr.dʏs ˈrɛi̯s.ˌbɛrɣə] is a football manager... and former defender from the Netherlands. Rijsbergen, an assistant to Leo Beenhakker at the 2006 World Cup in Germany, assumed control of the Trinidad and Tobago national team in his own right following the World Cup. As of December 2007, he was suspended by the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation for six months, through 4 June 2007 and replaced. Currently he is manager of Indonesia national football team to replace Alfred Riedl. Playing for Feyenoord Rotterdam, Rijsbergen was part of the Netherlands national football team which finished second in both the 1974 and 1978 World Cups. He later played in the North American Soccer League, for the New York Cosmos. Rijsbergen began his professional career at PEC Zwolle, and ended it in 1986 at FC Utrecht.

Barry Madlener is a Dutch politician of the Party for Freedom . He is the Parliamentary leader of the Party for Freedom in the European Parliament... since July 14, 2009. He was a Member of the House of Representatives from November 30, 2006 until July 14, 2009. Madlener grew up in the village of Oostvoorne. After graduating from high school he became a real estate agent and spent a number of years selling commercial real estate. On March 14, 2002 he was inaugurated as a member of the Municipality Council of Rotterdam for Leefbaar Rotterdam. Together with Kay van der Linde he was also involved in establishing the Livable Netherlands political party. At the Municipality Council elections in 2002, Madlener was listed eleventh on the list of Leefbaar Rotterdam, the local party whose leader Pim Fortuyn was assassinated later that year. Madlener was considered a confidant of Pim Fortuyn. The party won 17 seats in these historical elections on March 6, 2002. As Council Member Madlener held the city's infrastructure portfolio. In that function he was an outspoken supporter of the construction of a campus at the Erasmus Universiteit.

Eberhard Edzard van der Laan is a Dutch politician of the Labour Party . He has been the Mayor of Amsterdam since July 7, 2010. Before serving as... Mayor he was Minister of Integration and Housing in the Cabinet Balkenende IV succeeding the sacked Ella Vogelaar. He resigned with the rest of the Labour Party cabinet members on February 23, 2010. Van der Laan graduated in 1983 cum laude in law at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. He co-founded the legal firm Kennedy Van der Laan. He started his political career as assistant to the Amsterdam alderman Jan Schaefer. Between 1990 and 1998 he was member of the Amsterdam city council, from 1993 as the chair of the Labour Party group After leaving politics he became a full-time lawyer. On November 14, 2008 he succeeded Ella Vogelaar as Minister of Housing and Integration in the fourth cabinet Balkenende. Before he was a local councillor for the Labour Party in Amsterdam. He is known for his strong opposition to multiculturalism.
