The San Diego Chargers are a professional football team based in San Diego, California. As of 1970 they were members of the Western Division of the American Football Conference in the National Football League . The club began play in 1960 as a charter member of the American Football League, and... spent its first season in Los Angeles, California before moving to San Diego in 1961. The Chargers play their home games at Qualcomm Stadium. The Chargers continue to be the only NFL team based in Southern California, with no teams in Los Angeles since 1994. The Chargers are the only team to start a season 0–4 and make the playoffs , and the only team to start a season 4–8 and make the playoffs . In addition, they are one of only five NFL teams since 1970 to rank first in overall offense and defense in the same season , but the only team to achieve that feat without making the playoffs. Since the 2004 NFL season, they are also one of only three teams in the NFL to not have a losing record , but the only one of the three that has failed to win the Super Bowl; the other two have won at least one Super Bowl title.

The University of Alabama is a public coeducational university located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, United States. Founded in 1831, it is the flagship university of the University of Alabama System, as well the senior and the largest in terms of enrollment among all of the state's universities. Other academic programs unavailable elsewhere in Alabama include doctoral programs in anthropology, library and information studies, metallurgical engineering, music, Romance languages, and social work. As one of the first public universities established in early 19th century southwestern frontier of the US, UA left a vast cultural imprint on the state, region and nation as a whole for the past two centuries. The school was a center of activity during the American Civil War and the Civil Rights movement.

Fort Wayne is a city in the US state of Indiana and the county seat of Allen County. Under the direction of American Revolutionary War statesman General "Mad" Anthony Wayne, the United States Army built Fort Wayne last in a series of forts near the Miami Indian village of Kekionga in 1794. Named in Wayne's honor, Fort Wayne established itself at the confluence of the St. Joseph River, St. Marys River, and Maumee River as a trading post for European settlers.
