The Minnesota Vikings are a professional American football team based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Vikings joined the National Football League as an expansion team in 1960, and first took the field for the 1961 season. They currently participate in the North Division of the National Football... Conference ; prior to that the Vikings were in the NFC Central Division, and before that they were in the NFL's Western Conference Central Division. The Vikings play their home games at the Mall of America Field at Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis as they have since 1982. While the Vikings continue to play in the same building, the Metrodome has recently been renamed Mall of America Field. From the team's first season in 1961 to 1982, the team had called Metropolitan Stadium in suburban Bloomington home. The Vikings conducted summer training camp at Bemidji State University from 1961–65. In 1966, they moved their training camp to Minnesota State University in Mankato, where it remains to this day. Throughout the Vikings' history, they have had one of the highest winning percentages in the NFL.

Starke is a city in Bradford County, Florida, United States. The population was 5,593 at the 2000 census. As of 2004, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau is 5,769 . It is the county seat of Bradford County. Starke, Florida may have been named in honor of developer George W. Cole's... fiancée or in honor Madison Starke Perry, fourth Governor of the State of Florida and a Confederate States Army colonel. The Florida Department of State, Division of Historical Resources adds that the city may have been named after "Thomas Starke, a slaveholder who once owned much land around the area." Starke is located at 29°56′50″N 82°6′29″W / 29.94722°N 82.10806°W / 29.94722; -82.10806 . According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 6.7 square miles , all of it land. Starke is located approximately 8 miles west of Florida's National Guard base, Camp Blanding, and is located approximately 11 miles east and 6 miles south of Florida State Prison, Union Correctional Institution, New River East Correctional Institution, and south of Lawtey Correctional Institution.
