Jesse Thomas Lacey is an American musician from Levittown, New York. He is the frontman of the band Brand New. In addition to being the lead singer... of Brand New, Lacey plays guitar and writes most of the band's songs and lyrics. During a concert in St. Louis, Missouri, Lacey stated that during his sophomore year in high school he was persuaded to begin playing bass guitar by friend John Nolan. Before Brand New, he played in The Rookie Lot, featuring fellow Brand New bassist Garrett Tierney and drummer Brian Lane, as well as future Movielife member Brandon Reilly. Before The Rookie Lot, Lacey briefly played bass guitar and sang backing vocals in the band Taking Back Sunday. Two notable songs that he is featured on are "Go On" and "Summer Stars" from the band's self-titled EP. Jesse Lacey has close ties with fellow Long Island musician John Nolan. Lacey attended South Shore Christian School, with Nolan, who had previously left Taking Back Sunday and founded his band Straylight Run. Jesse is also good friends with Kevin Devine and Andy Hull of Manchester Orchestra.

Barbara Crampton is an American actress. She is considered a scream queen. Crampton was born in Levittown, Long Island, New York. She was raised in... Vermont and spent summers while growing up traveling the country with the carnival as her father was a carnie. She started acting in school plays when she was in seventh grade and went on to study acting in high school. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater Arts from Castleton State College in Vermont. After graduation, Barbara made a brief stop in New York, where she appeared as Cordelia in King Lear for the American Theater of Actors. She was a Theater Arts Major at Castleton State College from 1976 to 1981. From New York, Crampton moved to Los Angeles where she went on to star in the cult horror features Re-Animator, From Beyond and Castle Freak. She also has feature roles in the films Puppet Master and Fraternity Vacation. She made her television debut on the daytime drama Days of our Lives, where she played Trista Evans Bradford. She went on to play Leanna Love on The Young and the Restless from 1987–1993, which earned her a Soap Opera Digest Award.

He has maintained a close working relationship with his brother, Dino, throughout his career. His career began in earnest when a young John Elefante auditioned as the new lead singer and keyboardist for Kansas, in 1981. That year, the band was the top-grossing concert act in the world. and Elefante had never been in a band apart from his family. Although several of the top vocalists of the day applied for the job , Elefante received the part. Elefante sang the lead vocals and performed keyboards on three multi-Platinum albums with Kansas. He was also a major songwriting contributor .

Covais was born and raised in Levittown, New York, on Long Island. He is the son of John Covais, a retired sheriff, and Patty Covais. He is the youngest of three. He has two siblings, a sister and a brother . Covais was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age eleven and receives insulin injections, like his fellow contestant, Elliott Yamin. Covais started singing at the age of 10 and has taken voice lessons for four years. Covais has stated that Brian McKnight and American Idol Season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson are favorite singers of his. In the future, he plans to pursue a career in singing, acting, or journalism. Covais was a junior at Island Trees High School during his Idol run; he graduated at the end of the 2006-07 school year. He is a former student of Island Trees Middle School.
