Limited Edition Racing Models

Auto racing is one of the most watched sports on television. So it comes as no surprise that automakers build cars specifically to compete in these events. For example, BMW created the BMW M3 for the European Touring Car Championship. Audi came up with the Sport Quattro for the World Rally Championship. Ford, known for its expertise in developing racing models, has developed several cars including the Ford Escort RS1600 Mk.I for world rallying and touring car racing. The draw of building the most powerful car has led many manufacturers to keep coming up with more extravagant designs and more powerful engines created purely for racing domination.
