Logan's Run

Logan's Run is the tentative name of a proposed new film to be based on the 1967 novel of the same name. It would be a remake of the Oscar-winning 1976 film version. Warner Bros. has held the rights to the project since 1997. Although IMDb classifies the film as a 2007 release, Bryan Singer, the man most recently behind the project, told an audience at Comic-Con 2006 that the project is currently on hold., a statement corroborated by the fact that the production office for the remake was recently taken over by a team working on a live-action version of Speed Racer In June 2006, co-author... William F. Nolan chronicled the history of Hollywood's interest in a Logan's Run remake in an article published on a fan's website. According to Nolan, the first discussion about a remake occurred in November 1994, when he and his wife met with producer Michael DeLuca in the offices of New Line Cinema, which was at the time part of Turner Entertainment. Nothing happened after that meeting until early 1996, when Atlas Entertainment talked to Nolan and he helped prepare a short concept outline.
