The BT Tower is a communications tower located in Fitzrovia, London, United Kingdom owned by BT Group. It has been previously known as the Post... Office Tower, the London Telecom Tower and the British Telecom Tower. The main structure is 177 metres tall, with a further section of aerial rigging bringing the total height to 189 metres . It should not be confused with the BT Centre . Its Post Office code was YTOW. In 1962, while still under construction, the BT Tower overtook St Paul's Cathedral to become the tallest building in London. Upon completion it overtook the Millbank Tower to once again become the tallest building in both London and the United Kingdom, titles it held until 1980, when it in turn was overtaken by the NatWest Tower. The tower was commissioned by the General Post Office . Its primary purpose was to support the microwave aerials then used to carry telecommunications traffic from London to the rest of the country, as part of the British Telecom microwave network.

The Bloomsbury Theatre is a theatre on Gordon Street, Bloomsbury, in the London Borough of Camden, owned by University College London. The Theatre... has a seating capacity of 535 and offers a professional programme of innovative music, drama, comedy and dance all year round. Funded by a UGC grant and a considerable private donation, the theatre was opened in 1968 as the Collegiate Theatre, and was renamed the Bloomsbury Theatre in 1982. Between 2001 and 2008, the theatre was known as The UCL Bloomsbury, to emphasise links with UCL, who use it for student productions 12 weeks a year. The Bloomsbury Theatre recently returned to the logo designed by cartoonist Gerald Scarfe which it had used for nearly twenty years until 2001. The theatre building also provides access to the UCL Union Fitness Centre and Clubs and Societies Centre on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors. The basement also holds one of the three University Shops. A UCL Union-run cafe is on the Ground Floor. Access to the Main UCL Wilkins Building and the UCL Refectory is possible through the theatre building.

The Camden Markets are a number of adjoining large retail markets in Camden Town near the Hampstead Road Lock of the Regent's Canal , often... collectively named "Camden Market" or "Camden Lock". Among products sold on the stalls are crafts, clothing, bric-a-brac, and fast food. It is the fourth-most popular visitor attraction in London, attracting approximately 100,000 people each weekend. A small local food market that has operated in Inverness Street since the beginning of the 20th century has lost stalls since local supermarkets opened, and as of 2010 this market retains only three fruit and vegetable stalls , in addition to stalls for other products. Since 1974 a small weekly crafts market that has operated every Sunday near Camden Lock has developed into a large complex of markets. The markets have a mixture of temporary stalls and fixed premises. The markets originally operated on Sundays, which continue to be the main trading days, with much activity on Saturdays, while a number of traders, mainly those in fixed premises, operate throughout the week.

Fenton House is a 17th century merchant's house in Hampstead in North London which belongs to the National Trust, bequeathed to them in 1952 by Lady... Binning, its last owner and resident. It is a detached house with a walled garden, which is large by London standards, and features roses, an orchard and a working kitchen garden. The interior houses the Benton Fletcher collection of early keyboard instruments, one of which is often played to visitors during opening hours, and collections of paintings , porcelain, 17th-century needlework pictures and Georgian furniture. It also has a fine portraits of Dorothy Jordan, William IV, George IV, Frederick FitzClarence and Adolphus Fitzclarence - one of Jordan's daughters by William IV lived in the house. The 17th century brick mansion has a 300 year old orchard, where around 30 types of apples flourish. Apple day, held in late September every year, gives members of the general public the opportunity to savour some of its rare and delicious apples, along with such goodies such as apple-blossom honey.

The British Museum Reading Room, situated in the centre of the Great Court of the British Museum, used to be the main reading room of the British... Library. In 1997, this function moved to the new British Library building at St Pancras, London, but the Reading Room remains in its original form inside the new British Museum. Designed by Sydney Smirke on a suggestion by the Library's Chief Librarian Anthony Panizzi, following an earlier competition idea by William Hosking, the Reading Room was in continual use from 1857 until its temporary closure in 1997. The Reading Room's domed roof is metal framed in segments, and the surface that makes up the ceiling is a type of papier-mâché. During the period of the British Library, access was restricted to registered researchers only; however, reader's credentials were generally available to anyone who could show that they were a serious researcher. The Reading Room was used by a large number of famous figures, including notably Mohammad Ali Jinnah, Karl Marx, Oscar Wilde, Bram Stoker, Mahatma Gandhi, Rudyard Kipling, George Orwell, George Bernard Shaw, Mark Twain, Lenin, Norbert Elias, Virginia Woolf, Arthur Rimbaud and H. G. Wells.

The Foundling Museum in London tells the story of the Foundling Hospital, Britain's first home for abandoned children. The museum houses the... nationally important Foundling Hospital Art Collection as well as the Gerald Coke Handel Collection, the world's greatest privately amassed collection of Handel memorabilia. The museum examines the work of the Foundling Hospital's founder Thomas Coram, as well as the artist William Hogarth and the composer George Frideric Handel, both major benefactors of the institution. It also illustrates how the Foundling Hospital's charity work for children still carries on today through the child care organisation Coram. The Foundling Museum was set up as a separate charitable organisation in 1998. After a major building refurbishment it opened to the public as a state-of-the-art museum in June 2004. The Foundling Hospital Collection includes works of art by Britain's most prominent eighteenth century artists: William Hogarth, Thomas Gainsborough, Joshua Reynolds, Louis-Francois Roubiliac and many others.

The Charles Dickens Museum is at 48 Doughty Street in Holborn, London Borough of Camden, England. It occupies a typical Georgian terraced house which... was Charles Dickens' home from March 25, 1837 to December 1839. Charles Dickens and his wife Catherine lived here with the eldest three of their ten children, with the older two of Dicken's daughters, Mary Dickens and Kate Macready Dickens being born in the house. A new addition to the household was Dickens' younger brother Frederick. Also, Catherine's 17 year old sister Mary moved with them from Furnival's Inn to offer support to her newly married sister and brother-in-law. It was not unusual for a woman's unwed sister to live with and help a newly married couple. Dickens became very attached to Mary, and she died in his arms after a brief illness in 1837. She inspired characters in many of his books, and her death is fictionalized as the death of Little Nell. Dickens had a three year lease on the property. He would remain here until 1839 after which he moved on to grander homes as his wealth increased and his family grew. However, this is his only surviving London house.

The Jewish Museum London is a museum of Jewish life and art in the London Borough of Camden, on the northern fringes of central London, England. The... museum was founded in 1932 in the Jewish communal headquarters in Bloomsbury. In 1995, it moved to its current site in Camden Town. Until 2007 it had a sister museum in Finchley, operated by the same charitable trust and sited within the Sternberg Centre. This branch closed in 2007. The Camden branch reopened in 2010 after two years of major building and extension work. The £10 million renovation was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and private donations. The museum is a registered charity. The museum houses a major international-level collection of Jewish ceremonial art including the notable Lindo lamp an early example of a British Menorah . The new building includes a gallery entitled "Judaism: A Living Faith", displaying the museum's noted collection of Jewish ceremonial art. This collection has been awarded "designated" status by the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council in recognition of its outstanding national importance.

Shana Frances Swash is an English actress best known for playing the role Demi Miller in the British television soap opera EastEnders. She is the... younger sister of Joe Swash, who played her on-screen brother Mickey. In February 2006, it was announced that the role of Demi was to be cut along with that of her on-screen mother Rosie. Despite an online petition from upset and angry fans pleading for them not to be axed, both characters left the show in July 2006. Swash played Princess Jasmine in a pantomime version of Aladdin in the winter of 1999. Swash also appeared in BBC sitcom After You've Gone in an episode entitled 'Silence of the Clams'. She also starred in the 2007 UK tour of Girls Night and in one of a series of educational videos produced by Orange, in which she played a girl who uses social networking sites inadvisedly. She is set to appear in new television series The Crime Wave, and was one of the hairdressers in the 2008 series of Celebrity Scissorhands, a reality show which helps to raise money for Children In Need.

Weeks after winning the "Sexiest Female" award at the British Soap Awards where she cut a figure wearing a stunning thigh revealing white dress.

She is the daughter of actor Ray Winstone and his wife Elaine McCausland. She has two sisters, Lois , the eldest, who is a singer and sometime actress, and a younger sister, Ellie . She grew up in Enfield, North London, where she occasionally attended Enfield County School, a local state school. Her family later moved to Roydon, Essex where she attended Burnt Mill School in Harlow, Essex before going on to study for a Btec National Diploma in Performing Arts at the performing arts department of Harlow College, Essex. She studied briefly at drama school, before dropping out to pursue her acting career in movies such as Anuvahood and Kidulthood. Bentall has three siblings, John, Albert and Edith, and two elder half-siblings from her father's first marriage. She currently lives in Central London with her family. Bentall's first professional acting job was an episode of Holby City, which she filmed in 2006 while still at Richmond College. Her other television credits include You Can Choose Your Friends, Doctors, Oliver Twist and New Tricks. She played Mary Bennet in the 2008 miniseries Lost in Austen, a performance described as "by far the most interesting interpretation of the sanctimonious middle Bennet daughter of Pride and Prejudice yet". In 2009 she joined the regular cast of Lark Rise to Candleford, playing Minnie.
