Longgang District is one of the eight districts of Shenzhen, People's Republic of China. It is located in north-east of Shenzhen. With an area of 844.07 square kilometres , Longgang District is the largest district by area in Guangdong province. Population of the district is 961,800, of which 191,100 are registered residents. Longgang was established as a district on January 1, 1993.
