Longshot: The Movie is a 2001 teen film directed by Lionel C. Martin. It opened briefly in select theaters in Germany. The film was not shown in theaters in North America, but rather was released as a video and DVD only available through the film's web site. It was also released in select FYE stores with the movie Crossroads, which starred Britney Spears. It has since been shown on television. About one third of the film was service produced in Toronto under contract with The Danforth Studios Ltd Many bubblegum pop artists, such as O-Town, Britney Spears, Innosense , *NSYNC and rapper Lil'... Kim, were given small roles in the film. Producer Lou Pearlman was affiliated with these other pop artists during the late 1990s and 2000. Alex Taylor and his older brother Jack live in L.A. where Jack is a personal fitness trainer. Jack had an affair with Mitzi Price, a very powerful business man's wife. Her husband, Laszlo Price, then blackmails Jack into going to New York City to get information from Rachel Montgomery, about who she is selling her company to.
