This is often described as the "Angels in red on gray" version. The team began as the Los Angeles Angels in 1961, after that, they changed their name to the California Angels in 1965 after which they became the Anaheim Angels in 1997. Following that they changed their name to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in 2005.
