Lowell is a city in Benton County, Arkansas, in the United States. As of the 2000 census, the city population was 7,327. It is part of the Fayetteville–Springdale–Rogers, AR-MO Metropolitan Statistical Area. Lowell is the headquarters location of the nation's largest publicly owned trucking company, J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. Lowell has the sixth highest median household income in Arkansas, after Maumelle, White Hall, Cabot, Bryant, and Bethel Heights. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 6.3 square miles , all of it land. As of the 2010 census Lowell had a population of 7,327. The racial and ethnic composition of the population was 68.7% non-Hispanic white, 0.9% black or African American, 1.4% Native American, 2.7% Asian, 0.4% Pacific Islander, 2.6% from two or more races and 24.7% Hispanic or Latino.
