Luismar Alexis "Luis" Peña is a professional baseball pitcher. Peña was first signed as an undrafted free agent by the San Diego Padres on January 31, 2001. He began the 2002 season with their Rookie League affiliate, the Idaho Falls Padres. He was released by the Padres on February 10, 2003. On June 17, he was signed by the Chicago White Sox, but sat out the remainder of the season. In 2004, he played for Chicago's Rookie League Bristol White Sox and Class A Kannapolis Intimidators. He spent the entire 2005 season with their Rookie League Great Falls White Sox. After not playing... in 2006, Peña returned in 2007 in the Milwaukee Brewers system. He started the season with their Class A-Advanced Brevard County Manatees, where he was named to the Florida State League's mid-season All-Star team. He was later promoted to the Double-A Huntsville Stars, where he finished out the season. Peña attended Brewers spring training in 2008, before being optioned to the Triple-A Nashville Sounds on March 14. On February 15, 2009 Peña was claimed off waivers by the Seattle Mariners on.
