Mary Gross is an American comedian and actress, perhaps best known for her four-year stint on Saturday Night Live from 1981 to 1985. Her credits also include minor roles on Animaniacs, Boston Legal and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. Gross's trademark is her soft, treacly voice. Gross was born in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Virginia Ruth, a telephone operator, and William Oscar Gross, a tool designer.
