Maverick Films is an American film production company which was founded in 1992 by Madonna, Frederick DeMann and Ronnie Dashev. It is the film division of entertainment company, Maverick and owned by Warner Music Group. In 2001, the company was rebranded as simply Maverick Films and was solely managed by Madonna and Guy Oseary, CEO of another Maverick division, Maverick Records. In 2004, Madonna and Dashev were bought out of Maverick after a lawsuit with Warner Music Group and they no longer has an interest in the company.
