McHale's Navy is a 1997 military comedy film starring Tom Arnold as the son of Lieutenant Commander Quinton McHale , known by the same name. The movie is based on the television series that starred Ernest Borgnine. The movie opens in the Caribbean, on the Island of San Moreno, where a trio of important looking men are meeting with the island's governor.
